BW Adventures:The Battle Wagon Strikes Back

The Battle Wagon is just as much a character in our trek as the two of us. So it's only fair to give her a little credit for her loving support. Apparently we may have overlooked this fact in the last couple weeks because she seems to be retaliating a bit.

Filmblazer Weekly Episode 4

48:58 minutes (44.83 MB)

Hot off the heels of Episode 3, here comes Episode 4 of Filmblazer Weekly, now featuring intro and outtro "music."

In this episode, covering all the events of T3 Shreveport, we hear firsthand accounts of many of the events from the kickoff to the premiere of "Never Left the Building."

Also, in this rather educational episode, you will learn of the best coffee in the world, the difference betweeen 4 and 400 million dollars, how to get free pizza, how to run your own editing sweatshop, and where to get the best pies in Shreveport.

Filmblazer meets Hitchcock

In the beginning, T3 Austin didn’t feel like it had much momentum. There were a lot of excited people that wanted to help but we couldn’t quite land on a good, solid story idea. (We also may have been slightly distracted by things like Kickball Tweetups and Austin sight-seeing). Then we talked to Dave Rutledge and he gave us our inspiration: a beautiful and impeccably decorated spanish hacienda. His friend, Maria Corbalan owned the property which will be featured in Southern Living Magazine in June. Maria also owns Taco Xpress on S. Lamar. They have AMAZING tacos.

Filmblazer Weekly Episode 3

35:37 minutes (32.62 MB)

Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, at long last, a mere MONTH and 10 days after the last episode of our WEEKLY podcast, we finally bring you episode number 3.  Please join Josh, Jamie, and Adam as they discuss all things regarding the Tampa stop of T3, with such highlights as shooting without a script, going to the wrong Barnes and Noble, fun in a hot tub, a couple of cat issues, waking up the entire RV park, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and we give you a lesson on how to make a PB&J sandwich.  And make sure you stay tuned until the very end when Jamie drops the bomb.
All this and MORE brought to you by Kessler Crane.

Kickball Tweetup

I have to say Austin has some pretty awesome tweetups. They have your standard get-together-drink-eat-and promote yourself tweetups but they also have Kickball Tweetups! How can you pass up a Kickball Tweetup? I’ll tell you, you can’t. We came. We drank. We played kickball.

Chillin' with Bats in Downtown Austin

From the time we said we were going to Austin, everyone said “you should do a movie about bats... have you heard about the bats in Austin?” I was bat ignorant up to this point. I really did not know what they were talking about. I thought they were talking about some cave or something with a lot of bats in it. I did not find that appealing at all but knew if that were the case, Josh would most definitely make me go for “research” purposes. (If he could look at bats, I should have been able to go to Disney World for “research” too but I guess since that was 2 cities ago, it’s probably time I let it go).

Austin Tweetup

Out of sheer fate, there happened to be an Austin Tweetup the day after the Shreveport premiere at 6PM. We knew we were destined to be there. However, this meant that we had to pretty much haul a** to get up in the morning and gather all our things that were scattered throughout Jeff and Amber’s house. I mean we had stuff everywhere! We also had to semi-organize the Battle Wagon so that everything wouldn’t get broken on the trip. (we did have one casualty but I don’t want to talk about it =P)

Where's the Movie?

For everyone out there waiting to see Shreveport's fortnight film we are currently working on finishing it. You may ask how could we have shown the movie if we weren’t finished. Well, the movie we screened was around 90% done. We would have made our deadline if not for a couple of huge set backs. The major one was being locked out of the Municipal Auditorium on one of our main days of shooting. (Not our fault)

A Muni for You

This is our first ever featurette! Jeff Hanel explores the history of the Municipal Memorial Auditorium focusing on the paranormal events that have taken place there for many years. Eye witnesses share their encounters with specific ghosts and the effects these paranormal beings have had on them.

T3 Austin Kick-Off

On Friday, May 15th at 6PM, Kessler Crane presents T3 Austin! The kick-off will be held at the Hideout Theater at 617 Congress Ave, Austin TX 78701. Come be a part of the filmmaking experience. You can pitch story ideas, offer resources, suggest locations, and most importantly, sign up to participate in the production as we write, shoot, and screen a short film over the following 2 weeks. You don’t have to be a filmmaker or actor to participate. We believe everyone has something to offer the collaborative art of filmmaking! Random Fact: The Robinson Film Center, the venue for the Shreveport kick-off and premiere is located at 617 Texas St. It must be fate.
